PORTAL PASURUAN - Band rock ternama asal Amerika, My Chemical Romance, merilis lagu yang berjudul Welcome to the Black Parade pada 2006.
Lagu ini adalah salah satu yang terkenal dari album mereka yang bertajuk "The Black Parade".
Gerard Way, sang vokalis, mengatakan nama "parade hitam" dipilih untuk menggambarkan kondisi seorang penderita kanker yang hendak dijemput oleh kematiannya.
Secara keseluruhan, Lagu ini bercerita tentang analogi perjalanan seseorang menuju kematian. Terlihat dalam video klipnya, seseorang tampak sedang sekarat di rumah sakit.
Ia mengingat hal yang menarik yaitu saat diajak ayahnya melihat parade pada masa kecilnya. Sang pasien juga teringat pada pesan-pesan ayahnya semasa hidup.
Pesan yang dapat diambil dari lirik lagu ini adalah mendengarkan nasehat orang tua, hidups secara positif dan mengingat kematian.
